Hi there,
How is everybody doing?
First of all let me apologize for not blogging on Wednesday. I had to collect my better half Colin from Dublin so I spent couple of hours in the car, and as you might know it’s quite hard to be typing and driving at the same time:)
Anyhow I wrote this blog post couple of weeks ago on a piece of paper, as I had a moment when I felt really inspired, so now I am just going to retype everything I wrote on that day, without changing it, so it might not match the actual events, but you’ll get what I am trying to say in the end. So let’s do it:)
It had rained yesterday. Nothing unusual, considering the fact, that I am living in Ireland (and rain is something we have plenty of here), yet it was different rain than what we usually get. It was rain that made me feel good (even if only for a tiny moment). Let me tell you why.
Me and Colin are used to having our lunch or dinner while watching an episode of some sitcom comedy (totally unhealthy habit, I know, but I like it). Today wasn’t any different. After finishing off the last episode of That’s 70s Show (my second most favourite sitcom, right after Friends) couple of days ago, we were catching up on some Big Bang Theory. Once we were done eating, we moved to sofa to watch the rest of the pretty hilarious episode.
When the episode was over, we stayed sitting for another while. I tried to steal some of Colin’s body heat by snuggling in really tight and then I closed my eyes to give them a moment to rest. And right then, with my eyes closed, sitting in a completely quiet house, the only thing I could hear was the raiin. It was quite heavy and it reminded me of the summer storms we have back in Slovakia.
You know the ones, which happen after a really really hot, humid day, when at the end of the day it’s so hot and humid, that it’s even hard to breathe? (Ehm, ok maybe you don’t know what are they like, as I am not sure if you ever have days like that here in Ireland, but I’ll try to describe them a bit better, so keep on reading.)
The ones when you are actually really happy that it finally rains, because you thought you are not going to survive the heat?
The ones, which Hollywood movie makers always succeed in making look sooooo good and oh sooooo romantic? We all know the romantic scenes happening in the rain, where the couple get wet, then they run hand in hand looking for a shelter and once they find it, they end up kissing and smooching and ….. (I’ll leave the rest to your imagination;)) You say you don’t know what I am talking about? Ok here’s a few movies where contain extremely romantic scenes of kissing in the rain:)
Dear John, Pride& Prejudice, Spiderman, Elizabethtown, Armageddon, Moulin Rouge, Notebook, Garden State, Great Expectations, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Cassanova, Castaway, Sliding Doors and many many others.
Now do you know what kind of summer storms I mean? Great!!! So now I can finish my blog post my simply writing: “Oooh! How I miss those summer storms!!!”
And that’s it. That is all I wanted to share. I know it’s pretty random, but what can you do. If you miss them too or if you know about any other incredibly romantic summer storm movie scenes, you can let me know by writing a comment below.
I will be back in a weeks time with some tips on what to wear to an engagement session, so come back if you are planning to get one done anytime soon!
Have a great Friday and Happy Easter weekend!
Love,
Sona

Christina Brosnan - I understand you Sona. I miss those heavy rain falls too. It’s so peaceful just listening to the heavy drops hitting off the trees or side of the house. Watching the sky get darker and the clouds roll in. Or the occassional bit of lightning. One of my favourite scenes (and don’t judge) is in Lord of the Rings when the storm rolls in just before the battle scene and everything is quite and still. I love that.
Soňa - They are cool aren’t they:) As long as they come and go in few minutes:) And I haven’t seen Lord of Rings so I am not the one to judge:)
